Canyon Moon Farms is a small, women-owned farm business. We focus on growing diverse veggies, culinary herbs, cut flowers and medicinal plants. Our products are available through CSA, farmers markets and restaurant sales. Living close to the land informs our all-natural growing practices.
Food is Medicine |
We want to grow the best possible produce for ourselves and our community. This means we use beyond organic growing practices, which build up the soil for the best nutrition in our plants.
We NEVER use chemicals, pesticides, sprays, or artificial fertilizers. We work toward improving the health of the land we cultivate. We DO plant flowers for pollinators and beneficial insects to keep down pests, and we use compost and cover crops to add nutrients to the soil. We grow on a small scale, much of the work is done by hand not machines so our carbon footprint is low. We grow and sell food for our community, it stays local. |
Laura began farming in 2012 when she was hired for an intensive apprenticeship on the farm Gardenripe in Silverton Oregon. Since then she has continued to develop her experience and started her own farm business in 2016. She continues to follow her passions of working with plants, developing soil health and growing nutritious food for her community.
